Cooperative Program
COOPERATIVE PROGRAM IN ACTION
Southern Baptists are a fellowship of over 16 million members in approximately 45,010 churches in all 50 states and Canada. These churches work together through approximately 1,182 associations, 42 state conventions, and the Southern Baptist Convention to accomplish through voluntary cooperation far more than they could ever do alone. Mountian View is an active participant in the Cooperative Program along with supporting 10 missionary families throughout the world.

We support the childrens ministry at The Way Christian Fellowship, Perris California. Here is a link the the "Penny Drive" page. We have plastic piggy banks at the back of the church, please take on home and fill it with you spare coins, we will collect them throughout the year and get the pennies to the children.
We believe God has called us to experience His abundant life through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that He died for us so He could live within us for the purpose of living His life through us.
We at Mountain View have been given a mission. The Father seeks true worshipers, and we have been commissioned by Him to share the wonder and love of Jesus with those who so desperately need Him. We seek, therefore, to be a safe harbor for those who encounter the storms of life, ever ready to minister to them the life of Christ as He gives us the opportunity.
Experiencing the transforming power of the risen Christ is the ministry pursuit of Mountain View. The Apostle Paul said it so well in Colossians 1:28, "And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ."
Our Distinctives
Restful Work
We trust that as believers God delights in us! Nothing we do can make us more acceptable to or loved by Him. As such, we do not work or serve in order to earn acceptance and love. Instead, we work from a position of rest, overflowing with the amazing LIFE we have received.
"Every Member" Ministry
We believe and teach that every believer, not just hired staff, is created, saved, called, gifted, authorized, and commanded to minister. We believe God desires to express His life through each member for the benefit of the whole. In Hebrews 10:24, “Think of ways to encourage one another to outburst of love and good deeds.” II Cor. 5:18, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled (Exchanged) us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
Equipping the Saints
Our worship service is primarily a time for believers to be challenged and equipped. We gather on Sunday for worship, teaching, and encouragement; we scatter Monday through Saturday to "go be the church." We are called and equipped to release the Life of Christ 24/7 in all our interactions. We are not simply to soak up knowledge and "place it under a bowl" (Luke 8:16); we are to be a light in the world.
Servanthood Emphasis
The Bible says that serving, rather than being served, is the heart of the Christian life (Matthew 20:28). Those who come to Mountain View only to get and receive and get tended to and be ministered to are fully loved and accepted here. However, we believe and teach that although we do not earn God's acceptance through works, serving is a natural outpouring of the Grace we have received by faith.
No Guilt!
Subsequently, we don't typically beg, badger, or nag people in an attempt to get them involved. We invite the participation of anyone and everyone who shares our heart for ministry. We will gladly work with anyone who wants to grow and serve, but we don't feel responsible to try to coerce people into involvement when they are not ready for that level of commitment.
A Dependence on the Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit has provided our local body with all the spiritually gifted people need to do everything He wants done. Our task is to discover, train, and support these people in ministry. The clear leading of the Spirit of God (not historical precedents or a majority vote) determines what ministries we will engage in and support.
